Please take a moment to review all policies and appointment guidelines before booking. Pretty Little Roots currently operates from a private, home-based studio designed to provide a welcoming and personalized experience for every family.
Reviewing these policies helps ensure a smooth and comfortable appointment while preventing misunderstandings regarding bookings, cancellations, rescheduling, guest policies, and service expectations.

Booking Policies

A non-refundable deposit of $25 is required to secure all appointments and will be applied toward your remaining balance. Remaining balances are due at the appointment via Cash or Zelle only.
Deposits are forfeited for cancellations, no-shows, or appointment changes made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time.

A 15-minute grace period is provided. If you are running late, please notify us as soon as possible.
Appointments arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to be canceled or rescheduled to keep appointments running smoothly for all families. Late arrivals may result in deposit forfeiture.

Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
One reschedule is permitted without penalty.
Changes made within 24 hours of the appointment time will result in deposit forfeiture.
No-call/no-show appointments will be charged 50% of the scheduled service total and must be paid in full before another appointment can be booked.
child prep & appoiNTMENT requirements
Please ensure hair is freshly shampooed, fully detangled, and free of heavy products unless a wash service has been booked.
Excessive tangling or matted hair may require a detangling fee starting at $20 or, in some cases, rescheduling depending on the condition of the hair.
Children must be able to sit safely and comfortably for the duration of the appointment. Services may be adjusted or discontinued if excessive movement prevents safe completion.
Hair extensions and accessories are provided in standard colors (1, 1B, 2, and 4) unless otherwise discussed.
Studio Guidelines
Pretty Little Roots operates from a private home studio. For the privacy and safety of all parties, the studio address will be provided after your appointment has been confirmed.
To maintain a calm and focused environment, additional guests are not permitted unless previously approved.
Parents are welcome to walk children in for comfort. However, drop-off is preferred. First-time clients may stay briefly until their child is settled. A pickup text will be sent approximately 30 minutes before completion.
If your child has significant breakage, thinning, bald spots, or uneven hair length, a consultation is required before booking.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Hair must be clean, fully detangled, and free of heavy products prior to arrival.
• Please bring snacks, drinks, electronic devices, or comfort items your child may need during their appointment.
• Inform us in advance of any scalp sensitivities, allergies, behavioral accommodations, or special care needs.
• Please arrive on time to ensure a smooth and timely experience for all clients.
MEDIA CONSENT
Photos and videos may be taken during appointments for portfolio, marketing, and social media purposes.
Media is only captured with parent or guardian consent, as indicated on the client consultation form. If consent is not provided, no photos or videos will be taken of your child.
